Review: Eleanor and Grey by Brittainy C. Cherry

Eleanor & Grey, an all-new beautiful and emotional standalone from Brittainy C. Cherry is available now! Greyson East left his mark on me. As the young girl who first fell for him, I didn’t know much about life. I did know about his smiles, though, and his laughs, and the strange way my stomach flipped when he was near. Life was perfect…until it wasn’t, and when we were forced to go our separate ways, I held on to our memories, let go of my first crush, and wished for the day I’d find him again. When my wish came true, it was nothing like I imagined. I couldn’t have known when I took the nanny position that it would be his children I looked after, that my new boss would be that boy I used to know, that boy who was now a man—a cold, lonely, detached man. The smile and laugh I had loved so much were gone, now distant memories. Every part of him was covered in a fresh pain. When he realized who I was, he made me promise to do my job and my job only. He made me promise not to try to ge

The Secret

She Stoops to Conquer by Oliver Goldsmith (audio)

This is a play and I rarely listen to plays on audio. So it took a few adjustments on my part but I really liked this. It's kind of a manor house comedy of errors, taking place in one night at Mr. Hardcastle's house, a wealthy gentleman. His daughter, Kate, is being set up with his friend's son, Marlow, who is arriving that night to meet her with his friend Hastings. But the man's stepson, Tony, pulls a prank on the arriving gentleman and tells him the house is an inn. So Marlow is seemingly impediment to Mr. Marlow thinking him an inn keeper. At the same time Marlow is bashful around women of social standing while being brazen with working women so Kate pretends to be a barmaid to get to know him. There is also a subplot involving Hastings and the niece of the family who want to run off together. It's pretty funny. I like comedies likes this and it reminded me of Wodehouse though this play came before him.  This play is read by a full cast, of course but features s

Author Interview with Rachel Amphlett

Hey everyone! This is my first author interview! Huge thanks to Rachel Amphlett for answering my questions and agreeing to be apart of this. Also, big thanks to @FeedMyReads on Twitter for setting this up. Let's get started: For people who don't know you can you tell us a little bit about yourself? I’m originally from the UK and moved to Brisbane, Australia eight years ago. In the past I’ve played guitar in bands, worked as a broadcast assistant with BBC Radio, been a TV/film extra, worked in publishing and helped run a pub in the English countryside. Not all at the same time. What inspired you to first start writing? I’ve always had a very good imagination so I guess it was a natural progression from that – I enjoy telling stories. I have a thirst for learning so I’m always reading newspaper articles and a lot of those inspire new ideas for stories too. What is the name of your most recent book? Can you give us a short description? Under Fire follows explosives expert Dan Tay

So he's found just the women to tempt, tease and torture D.C., Duncan and Ian all the way to the altar! And you can be sure that if Daniel MacGregor wants something, he will stop at nothing to get it!  Number of pages: 368 My review: Gosh you know I just love a good Nora Roberts book. I flew through this in a day. The first series I read by her was the Bride Quartet series and I absolutely loved it. The MacGregors also rank really high up there for me. It's just such easy and quick reading, and the romance! Oh my! Can I just live in a Nora Roberts novel and have all these handsome men running around and being ready to sweep me off my feet? This specific edition had three mini-stories in one. So the different stories delved into the romances of D
