Review: Eleanor and Grey by Brittainy C. Cherry

Eleanor & Grey, an all-new beautiful and emotional standalone from Brittainy C. Cherry is available now! Greyson East left his mark on me. As the young girl who first fell for him, I didn’t know much about life. I did know about his smiles, though, and his laughs, and the strange way my stomach flipped when he was near. Life was perfect…until it wasn’t, and when we were forced to go our separate ways, I held on to our memories, let go of my first crush, and wished for the day I’d find him again. When my wish came true, it was nothing like I imagined. I couldn’t have known when I took the nanny position that it would be his children I looked after, that my new boss would be that boy I used to know, that boy who was now a man—a cold, lonely, detached man. The smile and laugh I had loved so much were gone, now distant memories. Every part of him was covered in a fresh pain. When he realized who I was, he made me promise to do my job and my job only. He made me promise not to try to ge...

The Secret

Dumplin' by Julie Murphy

Self-proclaimed fat girl Willowdean Dickson (dubbed “Dumplin’” by her former beauty queen mom) has always been at home in her own skin. Her thoughts on having the ultimate bikini body? Put a bikini on your body. With her all-American beauty best friend, Ellen, by her side, things have always worked…until Will takes a job at Harpy’s, the local fast-food joint. There she meets Private School Bo, a hot former jock. Will isn’t surprised to find herself attracted to Bo. But she is surprised when he seems to like her back. Instead of finding new heights of self-assurance in her relationship with Bo, Will starts to doubt herself. So she sets out to take back her confidence by doing the most horrifying thing she can imagine: entering the Miss Clover City beauty pageant—along with several other unlikely candidates—to show the world that she deserves to be up there as much as any twiggy girl does. Along the way, she’ll shock the hell out of Clover City—and maybe herself most of all...

The Tsar's Guard Parade

Welcome to The Tsar's Guard Parade!!! We are gearing up with this months long parade of blogs to celebrate one of the most anticipated titles of 2016 - THE CROWN'S GAME by Evelyn Skye! To celebrate the book (and my love of all things sparkly), I wanted to share with you some makeup looks I think would be fitting for THE CROWN'S GAME and The Tsar's Guard. First off, I think a gold smokey eye is a must have: And of course what goes great with gold? Red. A red lip, that is. And who doesn't love a strong cat eye? Make sure you check out the rest of the parade:  http://www.evelynskye.com/events/ About the Book: Title: THE CROWN’S GAME Author: Evelyn Skye Release Date: May 17 th , 2016 Pages: 416 Publisher: Balzer+Bray Formats:  Hardcover, eBook Find it: Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes & Noble | iBooks Vika Andreyeva can summon the snow and turn ash into gold. Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

Simon Snow is the worst chosen one who’s ever been chosen. That’s what his roommate, Baz, says. And Baz might be evil and a vampire and a complete git, but he’s probably right. Half the time, Simon can’t even make his wand work, and the other half, he sets something on fire. His mentor’s avoiding him, his girlfriend broke up with him, and there’s a magic-eating monster running around wearing Simon’s face. Baz would be having a field day with all this, if he were here—it’s their last year at the Watford School of Magicks, and Simon’s infuriating nemesis didn’t even bother to show up. Carry On is a ghost story, a love story, a mystery and a melodrama. It has just as much kissing and talking as you’d expect from a Rainbow Rowell story—but far, far more monsters. As much as I love Rainbow Rowell and her books, I wasn't sure if I was going to read this one. I loved Fangirl but was less interested in the fanfic that Cath writes than in the story itself. But since I've loved...

And I'm back...

Yes, yes. I know I announced I was closing shop but I missed it too much. I hate when bloggers do this but here I am under a different name. New year, new things, right? So I'm going to try this again. I really liked book blogging but I didn't like feeling pressure. It was pressure I put on myself to review constantly and I know that won't happen again. This is a hobby, not a profession so I'm going to review as I read and maybe even read and not review. But still I'm happy to be back, no matter how it goes. It's good to have an outlet.

A long time coming

I think that it's time I called it quits officially. I really do wish I could keep book blogging. I think about it after I finish a book and I think about the review I'd write. But the truth is that I don't have the willpower to get it done anymore. I enjoyed my time blogging and I'd like to pick it back up one day. But that day is not today and it won't be for a long time. So thanks for reading along with me and for reading this whatever followers I may still have. I like to share photos of what I'm reading on Instagram if you ever wonder what I'm up to. But this is just a note to say that  I appreciate it all. It's been a good time.
