This Time Around is a light and easy to get into story. It's a sweet romance that I found to be enjoyable while predictable.

Nora has always done what was expected of her, except when it came to Jake. When she leaves him behind after feeling betrayed by him she continues to pursue the dreams laid out for her; all the while ignoring her own. Jake, a reformed "bad boy" has followed his own dreams and made something of himself. When they're thrown back together for a wedding of two friends their old flames ignite and this time they do what they want and not what others expect.

Nora and Jake were pretty ordinary characters. Their romance is hot and steamy and they definitely have strong feelings for each other but there is nothing about This Time Around that stands out from any other New Adult Contemporary Romance. I didn't really connect with either of them on any level and at times I felt myself pushing forward in the story.

Susie, Nora's best friend and the bride to be, was kind of wishy washy to me. I felt like one minute she was throwing this couple back together and the next she was making sure it was the right move. My favorite character was probably Ethan, her fiance and Jake's best friend.

If you're looking for a cute romance filled with steamy scenes and an easy to follow plot, this one is for you. It's a good book that I definitely enjoyed but was not wowed by and will recommend to some looking for a light read!
