Out of Line was a quick, fun, and heated story that I barely looked away from while reading. It's about a constantly shadowed and monitored girl and the guy chosen to be her bodyguard while she's away at college. Only, she doesn't know he's her bodyguard. Over the length of the book they have this cute friendship that becomes more, even with his reservations and knowing her father wouldn't approve.
Both characters are easy to fall in love with. Especially swoon worthy Finn! At first he has all of these preconceptions about Carrie, until he really knows her. As they both grow comfortable and closer to each other, Finn becomes closer to telling Carrie the truth. The story is told in dual POVs changing with the chapters. This is my favorite kind of layout and storytelling. It shows the reader the whole picture and you can really connect with both characters.
I really enjoyed the bodyguard story line and found it new and refreshing, finally something a little different. We still have steamy romance, funny banter, great relationships and well rounded characters but we also have forbidden love and secrets.
