Review: Eleanor and Grey by Brittainy C. Cherry

Eleanor & Grey, an all-new beautiful and emotional standalone from Brittainy C. Cherry is available now! Greyson East left his mark on me. As the young girl who first fell for him, I didn’t know much about life. I did know about his smiles, though, and his laughs, and the strange way my stomach flipped when he was near. Life was perfect…until it wasn’t, and when we were forced to go our separate ways, I held on to our memories, let go of my first crush, and wished for the day I’d find him again. When my wish came true, it was nothing like I imagined. I couldn’t have known when I took the nanny position that it would be his children I looked after, that my new boss would be that boy I used to know, that boy who was now a man—a cold, lonely, detached man. The smile and laugh I had loved so much were gone, now distant memories. Every part of him was covered in a fresh pain. When he realized who I was, he made me promise to do my job and my job only. He made me promise not to try to ge...

The Secret

Scholastic Warehouse Haul (97 books!)

*The Scholastic Warehouse sale is a bi-yearly sale that occurs (quite obviously) at the warehouses of Scholastic across the country. The books are sold at half price or more the face value of the book and these sales are open to teachers, librarians, and other school volunteers...on a personal note, I've been going for years.*

So last week I went back to the Scholastic Warehouse, where I had volunteered at the end of November, to use my vouchers that I had earned while volunteering. While volunteering you earn $20 in book vouchers per hour and I worked 17 hours so I got $340 in vouchers, and as you can tell by the title of this haul...I went overboard and got 52 books. For the non-volunteers the books are discounted but as a volunteer we must pay the full sticker price (however they are free from the vouchers so it all works out).

Anyways, once I got to the sale the first section I came upon before going directly in to the warehouse was the $25 a box section. Basically, you try to fit as many books as you can in one box and the whole thing is only $25! Usually, I pass these sections up at the book sales because they books aren't very good but this time there was a few titles that I decided to grab. I ended up filling up a whole box so here's what I got in that one:

Virals by Kathy Reichs

Aries Rising by Bonnie Hearn Hill

Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life by James Patterson
Song of the Sparrow by Lisa Ann Sandell
Second Sight by Gary Blackwood
Blood is Thicker by Paul Langan and D. M. Blackwell
Ask Me No Questions by Marina Budhos

After I went a little crazy I went through there warehouse and had to contain myself. There was so many good deals! I went a little overboard and had to put some back, but here are the one's I ended up getting:

Maximum Ride Vol. 7 Manga by James Patterson by NaRae Lee

Review: Die For You by Amy Fellner Dominy

Review: Ah, teenage love. The intensity, the newness, the obsessive way it takes over your life. This powerful and chilling tale of love gone wrong will haunt you for weeks to come after you close the cover. What starts as a sweet romance slowly, horrifyingly turns bad when Emma and Dillon collide. Watching Dillon slowly become darker and more obsessive, more abusive is horrifying, but Amy Fellner Dominy does a beautiful job of show how organic and natural something that seems so right can twist into something so, so wrong. DIE FOR YOU is that book you want teens to read. You want them to see how easy it is to be blinded by the stars in your eyes. 1 in 11 students report being physically harmed by their date ( KidsHealth.org ). This isn't a problem that's going away, but it is one that needs to be discussed more. This was my first book by Amy Fellner Dominy and it won't be my last. I love the way she tells a story, letting the characters carry the bulk of the book and keepi...

If you want to sign up:  www.influenster.com/r/1020800 *Fair notice: This is a referral link so I get points towards my impact score if you sign up with this code* And now onto the review: I've tried a few Kat Von D products here and there but never any of her skinc...
